--By Josie Wu, translated by Cara Steenstra
Celebrity couple Porsche Sun and Stephanie
Lin have opened yet another restaurant. A Malaysian,
Stephanie Lin's background makes her the perfect spokesperson
for Goldfish Asia, which serves Southeast Asian cuisine.
Like their other restaurants, atmosphere is the key.
The retro-style crystal chandeliers, tea sets, medicine
cabinet-style bar and the tall, large plants create
a vintage Southeast Asian ambiance with an element of
modernity. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back.
Their Hainanese Chicken (NT$220) is the top choice for
many diners. Specially selected tender young chicken
is used to prepare this dish, which comes served with
fragrant Thai rice and three different sauces--guaranteed
to satisfy your appetite. The spicy-tasting Penang Prawn
Noodles (NT$180) are prepared with a soup base made
with many shrimp, and is only available here. It is
also the favorite dish of the company's employees. Nasi
Lemak (NT$220) and Bak Kut The (NT$220) are other authentic
Southeast Asian dishes. There are set menus available
for parties of two to 10 people, for NT$399 per person.
These come with a Sour and Spicy Hot Pot or a Pickled
Vegetables with Pork Hot Pot. |
