Froot is the brainchild of Raymond and Cecilia Cheong. Raymond had been following the success of American and Australian juice bar chains and it was time to bring the concept to Taiwan. He opened Froot a year ago and has a steadily growing clientele. Super Juice Cocktails (NT$110) are a blend of fresh juices, while Super Smoothies (NT$100) are a blend of juices and low-fat frozen yoghurt. What makes these drinks special is the addition of vitamin supplements such as multivites, guarana, ginkgo biloba, soy protein or even wheatgrass. I had a Stress Reliever from the Super Smoothies menu. It's hard to believe something that tastes so good can also be good for you! The top-seller at Froot is the Slim & Slender which contains a slimming supplement. Raymond says it's a way for his customers to add a bit of guilt-free sweetness to their lives! The menu also has Fruit Smoothies (NT$90) and Ice Blended Smoothies (NT$85) which are ideal for those who are lactose intolerant or simply don't like the taste of dairy.
