Recently relocated to the basement, The Westin Taipei's
New East West Buffet Restaurant now has a more complete
dining area. New interior decorations have been added,
using gold, pink and light purple as theme colours.
Using a great deal of transparent glass beaded curtains
as decorations, a very stylish effect has been created.
The open-style kitchen is decorated with silver beads
and lighting fixtures, making the food area look even
more attractive. At the European-style dessert area,
headed by Pastry Chef Robert Hope, the desserts are
not only good to look at but also taste great, so don't
forget to save some space for them. Most popular are
the weekly Seafood Themed Nights (between 6 p.m. and
9:30 p.m., adults NT$1,100, children NT$550).
New ingredients from Australia have
also been creatively added to attract diners. Monday
is Tuna Fish Night, using the best tuna fish from Dong
Gang. Tuesday is Shrimp Night, bringing you delicious
shrimp and prawns from both Japan and Taiwan. Wednesday
is Crab Night, when fat crabs filled with roe awaits
you. Thursday is Japanese Dining Night, when seasonal
Japanese dishes are delicately presented for your tasting.
The Westin Taipei New East West Buffet Restaurant also
has secluded private VIP rooms that can seat up to 38
guests, some of the largest and multi-purpose party
venues amongst buffet restaurants.
