American chain restaurant Chili's Grill & Bar has set up it's third Taiwan oulet in Taipei's newest Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store. Chili's strives to offer flavorful, fresh and delicious dishes, combined with fun and friendly service. The restaurant's layout and appearance is developed by Chili's concept architects and incorporates design elements found at U.S. Chili's prototype restaurants, such as the new futuristic wing overstructure found at the Margarita Bar. To keep the decor and look consistent with Chili's global image, the furniture and decorations were imported from America. In addition to Chili's "Famous and Favorite" fare--which includes Grilled Baby Back Ribs (NT$720), sizzling Mushroom Jack Fajitas (NT$630) and super-sized "Big Mouth Burgers" (NT$290-330)--there are two new additions to the menu. They are Grilled Salmon with Garlic and Herb (NT$630), which is marinated salmon served with herb-flavored rice and fresh veggies; and the Fajita Trio (NT$750), which comprises of citrus-soaked fire shrimp, marinated chicken and beef served with onions, bell peppers and fire-roasted tomato salsa. The Chili's Margarita Bar is also something of a byword for high-quality premium Margarita cocktails, the most famous being the Presidente Margarita. All cocktails are made from 100-percent agave-based tequilas. --Written and translated by Josie Wu.
