Self billed as "a celebration of wine, food and fun" for "the New Authentics", Weisß is all that and more. Set in an elegant environment that includes ample natural lighting, soft wood tones, and a classy outdoor seating area, Weisß is not, as the name may imply, a German restaurant but rather a fusion of Eastern and Western dining styles and dishes. The name Weisß is German for "white"and, they also sell German white wine. Excellent German Pork Knuckle (NT$380) and German Sausage (NT$280), however, are featured on CCA (California Culinary Academy) trained chef Li Ding's menu. French Lamb Rack with Chili sauce (NT$420), Thai Style Chicken Salad (NT$200), Asparagus and Clam Linguini (NT$250) are prime examples of some of the many reasonably priced items on the menu. Group dining is available in the finely decorated wine cellar. Reward yourself with a trip to Weis for lunch or dinner; it's well worth the effort. --By Joe Duffer, translated by Uvia Chang
