When you hear the name "Tata-U", what kind of images come to mind? PR manager Eva explains that this word comes from the Pingpu tribal language and has cultural and geographical significance. When you see the words, "Stage Dining", your curiosity is aroused yet again! Tata-U is the first restaurant run by the understated yet elegant Sherwood Hotel outside of the hotel. It is situated within the Miramar Entertainment Park, which claims to have the world's second-largest Ferris Wheel. The spacious and comfortable restaurant is 655-pings large with a 12-meter-high ceiling. You can chose from a variety of Japanese or Italian cuisine, watch the chef's nimble cooking skills, and enjoy their high tech audio and visual equipment, such as the suspended DJ stage, two 240-inch LCD screens, the one and only 32.4m long irregular-shaped projection screen design in Taiwan. Tata-U is like a gigantic stage where everyone is in the spotlight. The restaurant is divided into the Tata-Grill Pizza Oven Area, the healthy U- Buffet Area, the "izakaya" style Nippon Area, the indoor and outdoor garden bar area, which is the Italiano Area, where you get a view of YangMing Mountain. Tata-U not only presents the colors, smell and taste of its cuisine, but also to heighten every customer's sensory experience. --By Josie Wu, translated by Cara Steenstra
