Taipei nightlife has another member in its club – Stage. Decked out in professional lighting, booming speakers and complete with VIP rooms seating up to 200. The area is called “Stage” because of the numerous live performances held on its stage. Pop-singer, Ah-Mei, just held a 7/2 flood crisis charity concert at Stage recently. A few of the many performers this month include Chen Shan Ni and the ever rebellious, Chang Jen Yue. A veteran of founding performance venues, Su Chen Shio, designed Stage himself, hoping to bring an alternative performance area to Taiwan. He encourages all artists to come forth and add something new to Stage. Aside from live performances, come on over to enjoy Chicken with Spicy Season Sauce (NT$630), Shrimp Rolls (NT$630) or Strip Beans with Brown Sauce (NT$630), all of which are authentic Taiwanese dishes. Pair the dishes with some Taiwan millet wine and you will be set to go. -- By Josie Wu, Translated by Teresa Cheng
