Juke,
also known as Jake's Urban Kitchen East is related
to the long-running Jake's Country Kitchen in TienMu.
It bills itself as a Mexican restaurant, though it
serves American-style meals as well. Its Mexican
food is the university school cafeteria variety,
a little on the bland side but sufficient in a pinch.
The place itself has a warm and cozy mountain cabin
look and feel, complete with long tables and benches.
The liberal college ambience and great rock-and-roll
more than make up for the standard ground beef and
flour tortilla tacos and hard dry refried beans.
Your best bet is to have the Huevos Rancheros, a
tasty and filling breakfast that JUKE and Jake's
get close to the real thing. |
