VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS
Despite
not being located in a busy area, and having just set
up a new flagship restaurant, Yishang Garden is always
packed with happy customers. This popularity is due in
part to tales of the management's creativity, and their
attention to detail. Yishang Gardens is set in a three-story
villa that brings together Classical Chinese and modern
Western architecture. The interior reflects a "Taiwanese
nouveau-rich style" based on Shanghai influences.
The food is excellent; healthy, fresh and full-flavored.
The menu is mouth-watering, from the starters down to
the sweets and soups. The Wine Pickled Chicken, or "Drunk
Chicken" (NT$280) has a smooth taste and a slight
flavor of Shaoxing Rice Wine. The taste of the Tonpo-Style
Stewed Pork Chunk On Vegetable evolves with every bite
(NT$200 to NT$300); the Pickled Crab has a wine taste
(NT$280). Once on the table, these tasty dishes tend
to be consumed rapidly. Yishang Garden also hosts weddings,
and has nine partition rooms for groups. --By Josie Wu,
