VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS
The
atmosphere in Neturetu Itchiban is reminiscent of walking
into a restaurant in old Japan. The restaurant is divided
into tatami rooms, a bar, a lounge, and a patio. People
familiar with Japanese-style restaurants will be impressed,
it even has Japanese-style service. New sentence once
you sit down, the waiters and waitresses present you
with mugi-cha (barley-tea) and pickled vegetables. The
menu is split between desserts and set dinners. The surprisingly
good Cold Dandan Noodles have a rich flavor that is probably
better than the traditional taste; other specialty dishes
are the Rice on a Stone Hotplate, and Pork Ramen --most
dishes cost between NT$70 and NT$280. The secret behind
its success--there is never an empty seat in the house-is
that it has both a creative menu and an economical price
list. This restaurant is only a short walk away from
the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Theater. --By Zheng Yuanhao,
