Because the Chinese owner of Lanka Restaurant is from Sri Lanka, he speaks fluent English. The spices used here are imported directly from Sri Lanka, and coconut milk is added to the curry, making it go smoothly down the throat. The glass cabinets display handicrafts from Sri Lanka and masks from Hindu legends. The Sri Lanka map on the wall and the stained glasses make this a delicate and elegant dining environment. The crowds of customers at this place may mean a wait for your dishes, but it is well worth it. Dishes include Pumpkin Curry (NT$110), Mutton Curry (NT$130) which uses spicy stir-fried curry to reduce the smell of mutton, Mixed Vegetable Curry (NT$110), Chicken Curry (NT$130) and Yellow Rice (NT$35). Customers may specify the spiciness of their dishes to suite their personal levels of tolerance to hot food. – By Ken Lin, Translated by Sheng Chen
