Pickled Chinese Cabbage And White Meat Pot-TaiPower LiJin Restaurant

5, Lane 55, HePing E. Rd., Sec. 1
(02) 2351-3804
Hours:11 am-1 pm,5-8 pm

This is a restaurant for employers of the Taiwan Power Company, and is located near the Kuting MRT Station. Before you arrive you can enjoy a coal-grilled scent. This place serves a kind of northern Chinese hot pot. The bottom has a charcoal fire, while the top has a kind of smoke stack that gives a very special feeling. Meals are all-you-can-eat for NT$310 per person, plus a 10-percent service charge. The pickled cabbage white meat hot pot includes an unlimited supply of northern pickled Chinese cabbage, pork, beef, mutton, jellied tofu, soft pig's blood, and onion rings. You mix the sauce by yourself--don't forget to add soybean cheese. After the meal, the green tea jelly is strongly recommended as it can clean out the mouth. The atmosphere is very lively, and typical of a Chinese restaurant, so it is well suited for large groups. Enter the lane between TaiPingTianGuo and the HePing Grocery Store. Behind the parking lot, you'll see a wood house; take a right and you'll find the eatery. --By Selena Huang
