Located in a serene alleyway, SOFA feels like a first-floor residential apartment that people want to peek into. Through the round arched glass-and-wood door, one hears pop music from the neighboring CD shop. The open space contains sentimental vintage furnishings. SOFA has around twenty sofas in different styles and models: leather, wood, or retro design. Among the table and chair sets are specially designed stylized lamps that evoke an elegant, romantic and nostalgic charm. The manager recommends Pork Knuckle (NT$480), Spaghetti Bacon & Cream Sauce (NT$250), and Pan Fried Shrimp & Mushroom (NT$380). Among the drinks available are whiskey, vodka, red and white wines, beer and champagne, as well as Hong Kong-Style Milk Tea (NT$160), Winter Melon Tea (NT$150), Milkshake (NT$160), and seasonal fruit juices. Afternoon tea is also offered. --By Josie Wu
