Mo-Mo-Paradise, which has nine branches in Japan, opened its tenth outlet in eastern Taipei to provide local residents with an opportunity to taste authentic Japanese sukiyaki. This two-hour, all-you-can-eat (starting at NT$299 and NT$399) restaurant is the new place to gorge on great food. Beef is the main feature in sukiyaki. Mo-Mo-Paradise uses selected frozen shoulder meat from Australian cows. Tender, lean, 2mm-thin slices of beef soak up the sauce they are cooked in, and then are dipped in egg and kumquat jam sauce or sesame sauce; the smooth, rich, and aromatic taste is incredible, and pairs well with fine Koshi Higari rice. The special diner cart service allows you to choose fresh side dishes that you like: burdock root, seaweed sprouts, mushrooms, green bean noodles, plus seasonal vegetable. Besides sukiyaki, there is also shabu-shabu to choose from. After the meal, sweeten your palate with the dessert selection of green tea rice dumplings, mango pudding, and mulberry plum custard. --By Josie Wu
