Anyone who is familiar with the eastern side of Taipei knows the Eastern Ice Store. Located within the bustling alley, the not particularly large Eastern Ice Store has received excellent reviews from local and foreign media. No preservatives, artificial flavorings or colorings are used in their products. Consistency has customers coming in continuous succession for a taste of the round tapioca pearls. These chewy tapioca pearls have the benefits of nourishing complexion, lowering inner heat, and moistening the throat. The store recommends the assorted tapioca pearl shaved ice, assorted red bean soup, hot mesona blend, and the traditional tofu pudding. If you long for old-time ice desserts, come to the Eastern Ice Store. Their prices start at a reasonable NT$45, depending on topping.
