Au bon pain is a sandwich & coffee franchise chain store. Huge glass panels and a bright & breezy environment made having a meal here a rather pleasant experience. For sandwiches, there is a great variety of bread to choose from. There are croissants, whole wheat bread, country bread, mixed grain, French baguette as well as bagels. Fillings include greens with a complete selection of fine quality sliced meat combined with cheese and a wide array of seasonings and sauces. Nothing is ever deep fried here. The sandwiches are healthy and delicious. Comes highly recommended is their Steak Swiss at NT$160. Whole pieces of beef is smoked to the right consistency and sliced up before they are served on the sandwich. The Smoked Turkey Club at NT$150 is served on hot country toast with bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and lettuce topped with a light cream sauce. Another must have is their Honey-Dijon Chicken at NT$150 served on crispy French baguette with honey mustard sauce. It is really something and very popular with the regulars.
