The
special curry soup can only be found at the new-opened restaurant
McCurry. The owner, Ms. Chen said the concept of curry soup
came from Japanese shabu-shabu hot pot. It is similar to the
shabu shabu we¡¦ve seen in Taiwan. The only different is the
soup base. Instead of regular chicken soup base, McCurry mixes
curry in the soup base to bring out the unique taste. There
are four different kinds, beef, pork chop, chicken leg and
seafood at same price of $250 NT. Each pot has basic items
such as tofu skin, cabbage, mushroom, fish cake, green bean
noodles and special made vegetables ball. Among of all, the
most popular one is seafood flavor. It comes with the whole
crab, shrimp, calamari and fish fillet. The combination of
seafood and curry makes the taste superb. This is also a signature
meal because what you get is more than what you pay for. McCurry
also serves other curry meals, such as curry beef rice, curry
pork chop rice, and curry seafood rice. First three items
are $200 NT each and the curry seafood rice is priced at $220
NT. -- by Chia-Hsun Lin, Translated by Kate Kuo
