With such an interesting name, and sofas and chairs and nice lamps that line the wall-size window, I first thought that Philippe Starck had at last opened a pub in Taipei. While hip connoisseurs focus on the gourmet food in front of them, the place turns out to be a delightful Italian restaurant. Unique international dishes prepared by a master chef from Hong Kong adhere to traditional Italian cuisine, but with an extra creative flair. There¡¦s Chicken Burrito with Apple in Pear Sauce (NT$400), and Skewed Chicken with Lychee and Sweet Pepper (NT$400). The great-tasting desserts served on colorful plates, enhanced by the restaurant¡¦s warm atmosphere, are masterpieces. It could be the treat of a lifetime to simply recline in one of the designer sofas.
