Six
schoolmates came together to open Thai Heaven. The black-and-white
interior is complemented with a blue rainbow sign. Authentic
fire-hot Thai cuisine is served here. The first of these six
branch restaurants, on HoPing Road, will celebrate another
grand opening in October. Some menu favorites here are Moon
Shrimp Cake (NT$280); Curry Crab (NT$280); Crispy, Sour and
Spicy Bass (NT$430); and Spicy Fried Frog (NT$280), all of
which patrons devour with their bowls of rice. Enjoy a Thai
iced tea (NT$120) after your filling meal. Made from three
types of Thai tea leaves mixed with three types of milk, this
delicious concoction has a refreshing tea taste. Or, try the
new Mango Cha Cha (NT$100), made with fresh mango sauce drizzled
over fresh mango cubes, for an ice-cold treat filled with
the flavors of the South Seas.--By Selena Huang
