"Duo-chi-lai" is a transliteration of the more familiar Italian phrase, 'Dolce Vita' - "the sweet life". Peering inside the restaurant windows it's easy to catch the spirit. Two lazy cats nap in the glow of soft candlelight. Guests are welcome to bring their own feline friends. The specialty of the house is Italian dishes. Popular entrees include pasta (from NT$90 to NT$170) with your choice of cream, tomato, pesto sauces or olive oil drizzle. The owner recommends the Four Cheese Gnocchi (NT$220), a fragrant meal made from potatoes and flour. Weight reducing Mate Sweet Orange Tea (NT$120) is served, a hit with the ladies, along with the house special - Russian Blend Samovar Tea (NT$120). Fruit flavorings can be for extra taste. Afternoon teatime treats (Chocolate Brownies, Creme Brulee and Chocolate Truffles) are made fresh on the premises.
