MINAMOTO KICHOAN, decorated in total Japanese style, carries a variety of specialty snacks from Japan. The shop owner explains that the imports offer a glimpse of Japan¡¦s traditions and culture through food. For example: Tao Quan Quo made of peach flesh (NT$400 each); Wu Nai Hua, steamed cake made from Japanese red beans and chestnuts (NT$450 each); and the liquid Ming Shui fruit (NT$120 each) containing soft sweet jelly in grape, peach and red bean and flavors. During the store's grand opening period a new
product, the Bai Bain Tuan Zi, was introduced. These are sesame, green tea, plum, or red bean flavored Tuan Zi on a stick for NT$30. They are fresh and delicious!--By Selena Huang
