Vuvu Rock is located near the Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines. Inside, the stucco walls give a unique adobe feel to the place, with an aboriginal spirit coming from sculptures and wall art. Vuvu Rock's specialties and most popular dishes are its betel nut flower and beef (pork) (NT$290); mixed stir fry (NT$250), which includes wild boar meat, dried tofu and dried flying fish; pork and papaya stew (NT$260); and fish soup (NT$250). All of these dishes are a great-tasting introduction to aboriginal cuisine. For dessert, this restaurant has created a millet cheesecake (NT$80 per slice). To go along with your food, try the red rice wine (NT$600 per pitcher/NT$80 per cup). This is brewed by Aborigines in Pingtung from dark glutinous rice and is somewhat sweet. It tastes best served cold. Vuvu Rock also features music performances by aboriginal artists.
