Located next to Cheng Chih University, the eye-catching entrance to The World looks like it was carved from solid rock. The owner of the place is proud of his self-created architecture, both inside and outside. The extensive use of glass fiber in his designs is intended to provide a relaxing atmosphere.

Although pasta is the main type of cuisine here, there are also delicious sandwiches and Chinese set meals, with everything made from scratch. The chicken filet, for example, features meat that is hand-picked by the owner and then tenderized before being marinated in a sauce exclusive to this restaurant. Sandwiches (NT$40) are made with buttery Danish-style bread. There is also tea and coffee, including milk tea (NT$60), and coffee mixed with Chinese herbal jelly. The restaurant has private dining rooms that can be reserved for larger groups or special occasions.¡XBy Leon Chiang
