Walking along ZhongZheng Road in the crowded older part of Tamshui, Tamshui Town is located across the street from The Red Castle. This used to be an ice company before it was converted into a Western restaurant. There is a feeling of spaciousness, as the restaurant's interior design is simple and understated. Large picture windows look out onto the Tamshui River with Kuang Yin Mountain as a beautiful backdrop. The chef originally worked at Brown Sugar. His specialty is Italian pasta dishes, such as the seafood pasta, flavored with garlic and sweet peppers. With the beautiful view outside, you will want to linger with an after-dinner cup of coffee.--By Ken Lin
