Lan Family Ke Bao specializes in bao-tze (meat-filled steamed
buns). However, what distinguishes the bao-tze here from those
served by the many other eateries in the area is that they
are filled with stewed meat, cilantro, peanut powder and pickled
vegetables. It is this unique combination of flavors that
has drawn crowds for the many years that Ke Bao has been in
business. Each order costs NT$40 and customers can choose
their preference of fatty meat, lean meat or a mix of fatty
and lean meat. In addition to bao-tze, this small eatery sells
Chinese herbal soup, as well as noodle dishes.
