GIORGIO
ITALIAN
375, Ren Ai Road, section 4
 |
This pleasant, spacious Italian restaurant is named after
its owner, Giorgio features an Italian-led team of chefs and
serves up good quality Italian food until 10 p.m. Giorgio
ran a restaurant in Verona, Italy for 30 years before coming
to Taiwan. As he explains, his home-style food is prepared
with traditional Italian methods, guaranteeing authentic flavors.
The owner, who makes it clear that this is a restaurant for
serious Italian food lovers, takes pride in the fact that
customers include many Italians and those who have lived in
Italy. For entertainment, be sure to check out the pizza dough-tossing
chef. A wood-burning stove serves up home-style pizzas for
between NT$260 to NT$480. All pasta dishes feature homemade
pasta and run from NT$300 to NT$350. A good spot for romantic
couples looking for a candle-lit dinner, Giorgio is worth
checking out. Located behind a building on the corner of Ren
Ai Road and Yan Ji Street. The address is a little confusing,
so be sure and carry this magazine and call the above listed
number if you are unable to find this restaurant. -by C. Donovan
