2011 Taichung Rock Music Festival kicks off in December

One of Taichung's most anticipated musical events, the 2011 Taichung Rock Music Festival is finally set to take place on December 3 and 4 from 2:30 to 10 p.m. at Fulfillment Amphitheater! After almost 18 months of preparations, this installment of the Taichung Rock Festival will offer tens of thousands of participants a unique international variety of music and promises to be even bigger and more fun than ever!
The main theme for this year's festival is environmental protection. There will be four stages, each with its own animal motif--a polar bear guitarist, Formosa clouded leopard bassist, Formosan black bear drummer and Chinese white dolphin keyboard player. The music on these stages will include electronic rock, punk and heavy metal. As for noise control, the bands will be playing softer music after 6 p.m. each day.
Over 70 bands and artists from Taiwan, the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and Scotland will be joining this year's festival to provide music lovers with two days of outstanding rock.
In previous years, the Taichung Rock Music Festival attracted a record attendance of almost 100,000 people over two days. Bring your friends and families to Green Your Mind through dreams, pump up life through music out the 4th Taichung Rock Music Festival on December 3 and 4.
