Kaohsiung's newest music venue is more than just a place to see performers. Join Us, located near the train station at 169, JianGuo 3rd Road, offers a distinguished atmosphere that musicians and music lovers alike will appreciate.

Join Us was founded by four partners who all have considerable experience in the music field. The principle partner, Er Zhong, is quite familiar to those involved in Kaohsiung's music scene. He was the original founder of ATT Music, and has been in the business for more than 10 years, both as a musician and a recording engineer. He recently parted ways with ATT, and this is his newest venture.

The premises features a fully-equipped stage, several practice rooms, a recording studio and a well-stocked bar. Currently there are live shows every Saturday night featuring singers, duos, DJs and bands from all over Taiwan, and the occasional act from abroad. You can sit and watch the show, or just hang out at the bar and have a drink. Cover charge for these events ranges from NT$100-200 The room is also available for rent to parties which wish to put on their own shows.

The practice rooms are furnished with drums, amps and microphones that musicians can use for rehearsal. These rooms are available for rent, starting at NT$200 per hour. Cheaper rates are available for long-term rentals. If you are seeking musical instruction, there is a staff of teachers available for vocal training, drums, guitar, bass, piano and even sound engineering. Although it is not an actual retail shop, the venue does carry a modest line of musical accessories, and will do custom-orders any instruments or products you wish to purchase. They also do repairs on instruments and electronic sound equipment.
For the music community, which is sorely lacking establishments that feature live entertainment, Join Us is a welcome addition.
