Artist:
Jelly Bean
Title: I like it, sister.
Label: Warner Music
I had never heard of Jelly Bean before.
After listening to the album, "I like it, sister",
it's hard to pin down this band's genre. From the name
of the album's first song, "The first conflict",
one might think it's a punk-rock piece. Instead, it
turns out it's a mixture of bossa nova and jazz. Other
songs like "Policeman, why did you tow my car?",
"Funky Star" and "The Soldier's Diary"
feature funk, rap and rock styles. "Love me, baby"
is fresh and classic while "Hesitate" is soft
pop. The dialogue-like lyrics allow listeners to relate
directly to the band's humorous side.
