The Legends' last album, "Up Against
The Legends", retained the light melancholic mood
of Club 8 and the Acid House Kings with its soft vocals,
bright rhythms and electronic music bass. With their
new album, "Public Radio", The Legends move
from Stockholm to England's Manchester of the early
'80s, adding a huge dose of nostalgia to their music.
This Swedish band started with nine members but has
now condensed down to just one person, Johan Angergard.
The single, "He Knows The Sun", and another
song, "Something Good", both have light reggae
rhythms as well as some influences from The Cure. The
music is pretty similar to the album "Seventeen
Seconds" and the song "Close To Me".
Johan says that, apart from being influenced by New
Order, bands like Felt and The Feelies are also significant
references. This makes many fans wonder what musical
turn The Legends will take next.
