Artist: Laura Pausini
Title: Escucha

Whether or not you understand Italian or Spanish, this top Italian singer, Laura Pausini, is still worth recommending to everyone. She was received numerous musical awards and great commercial success, and her CD albums have sold over 22 million copies worldwide. She has also received over 160 platinum records in recognition of her album sales. On top of that, Pausini's soft, clear, yet powerful, voice communicates innocence and can sing straight to listeners' hearts. After a four-year absence, "Escucha" is Pausini's latest Spanish creation. This album is the record of two love stories, one took place in Pausini's 20s; the other one is a recent love story. It is a collection of exchanges between herself and her creative partner, Cheope, through cell phone SMS messages, and snippets she recorded while traveling or on the way to airports and recording studios. These bits and pieces, amalgamated into a moving and melancholic album, and like an intimate introspective diary. All of Pausini's experiences and emotions, remaining unspoken up till now, have been exposed in this creation. Also, in collaboration with the Queen of Pop Madonna, the song "Me Abandano A Ti" is a mixture of Jewish mythology and Italian Verismo, with a hint of Chinese yin yang theory, a very strong yet reflective view on the sufferings of the world that presents another facet of Laura Pausini's talents.
