Uncut
is a monthly magazine running about 150 glossy pages.
A UK based publication, Uncut relishes both UK and Yankee
rock culture - from Dylan to Lennon, Hendrix. To Bowie,
and much more. No Beyonce, no Oakenfold. For newer music,
the CD and reviews champion underground country-ish music
known as "Americana." Artists such as The Handsome
Family, Ryan Adams, Clem Snide, The Volebeats, and Giant
Sand. The CDOs contain music from many of Uncut's stories.
The Uncut shown here, May 2004, has a cover story and
interview with Eric Clapton. The CD is a compilation
of blues and jazz tunes chosen by God, er, Mr. Clapton
himself. Very fine listening, indeed.
