Scott Ezell/Ocean Hieroglyphics/Wind

By Selena Huang and Cheryl Robbins Translated by Wendy Su

Ezell is an American musician, currently residing near Taidong. "Ocean Hieroglyphics" is an expression of his connection with Taiwan's eastern coastline, as well as his exploration of such questions as what is the ocean, what are the colors of the ocean, and what is the ocean's texture. An eclectic mix of instruments from all over the world was used. The liner notes include Ezell's poetry and paintings. --By Cheryl Robbins
