Yang Nai-wen
About a Woman's Self-Awareness
Reviewer: FM 97.7 March |
Yang Nai-wen's intense rock-and-roll tunes have won her a large
following. With the release of this, her third album, it can only
be said that her songs are even more distinctively English-style
rock-and-roll. Examples include 'To', 'Testimony' and 'Too Proud'.
Other songs can be categorized as 'lyrical' rock-and-roll
such as 'Should', 'Wish Me Luck' and 'Lay It Down Gently'. Yang
is involved in all aspects of her music. She feels that every singer
has to insist on their own style, because it is through music that
singers express themselves to others. This release captures the
essence of Yang during her two-year break between albums.
