Having a particularly bad day, persistent complainer Bruce Nolan (Carrey) curses God (Freeman) for all that's wrong in the world. The Almighty confronts him, and challenges him to try and do a better job, with some teeth. Bruce has just one day to make the world a better place, or God will bring forth an apocalyptic cataclysm that will hurl mankind back to the Dark Ages.
