I had some Noodles at a small restaurant. When my bowl came I found a cockroach in it. The waitress asked me if I wanted another one.

I was in a taxi trying to get to a hotel near Encore Gardens. The taxi driver drove around for a while and the meter went up to 1000 NT when I questioned the amount, he threatened to beat me. I got out of the cab without any incident, but I¡W¦Wd have to say I wasn¡W¦Wt impressed with the service.

I went into an Eel Noodle shop that had the menu printed in Chinese behind the counter. I ordered the meal I wanted in Chinese from the owner and afterwards she tried charging me $50 NT more then the price listed. When I explained that I read Chinese, she told me that the price had changed.
