Removed but only a short distance away
from the traffic and crowds of Taichung Harbor Road,
Sepia is located on Chao Fu Road. Its interior is far
more spacious and elegant than you might imagine and--in
a change from most city cafes--Sepia's understated decor
is well balanced by impressive abstract oil paintings
hanging on the gray walls. The air is imbued with the
mild fragrance of wood, and a closer inspection of all
the cafe's chairs and tables will reveal that their
original wooden colors and textures have been maintained.
Parts of the cafe are also naturally lit by the sun,
using glass fixtures to bring in the rays and adding
comfort and brightness to the atmosphere.
Such nice surroundings are complemented
by Sepia's delicious offerings, which include a selection
of filtered single-blend coffees, cappuccino, yogurt,
fruit juices, freshly-brewed fruit teas and a variety
of Macha teas. Business hours are fairly long, from
8:30 a.m. until past midnight, allowing you to enjoy
a freshly-made breakfast here in the mornings. Hot soups
are available during breakfast hours and are not a bad
choice to warm up the body on certain mornings.
During lunch hours, you have a choice
of pasta dishes and salads. They even serve a great
selection of red wines all day long. The spacious interior
ensures that different spices and scents won't suffocate
you while you are trying to savor your coffee, and menu
prices range between NT$90 to NT$1,200. All this makes
Sepia a great spot for some time out, hanging with friends,
or even business meetings. |
