Going past the parkway that leads to the Taichung Municipal Cultural Center is an intricate lane filled with cafes and teahouses. One of the most striking cafes in this area is EDIA. Inside, the first thing you notice is the metal flooring. Enjoy the leisure of listening to jazz music, while sipping a cup of cappuccino and looking out the large picture windows at green grass and trees.
The owner of EDIA, Jun Hung, has more than five years of experience working in cafes. He opened EDIA as a place where coffee and music could combine into one entity. This cafe specializes in Italian coffees. Cappuccino, latte and iced mocha (NT$150 each) are the most popular items. Jasmine tea (NT$150) is also a favorite. Refills are half-price for all drinks. Another unique aspect of this caf?is that drinks are served in fine china, making it a great place for the sophisticated coffee drinker.
