Kreutzer Coffee is tastefully decorated with wrought
iron doors and simple tables and chairs. According to the owner
Ms. Hsu, however, people come to Kreutzer not for its decor, but
for its real Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. The first floor sells
imported Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee beans, Amber beans (NT$1,800
per half pound; NT$380/cup) and Arvis Bank 3A Blue Mountain beans
(NT$1,400 per half pound; NT$280/cup). You can order a cup of coffee
or take the beans home and brew them yourself. Another option is
to buy a bag of beans and leave it at Kreutzer. Then, each time
you would like to have a cup, just pay a small fee to have it prepared.
On the second floor, there is a music listening area with a large
collection of classical music CDs. When asked about her motivation
behind opening Kreutzer, Ms. Hsu replied that ¡¼)(w¥¼) wcoffee beans
are full of emotion. I like to brew coffee that is full of feeling
and give it to my friends to try.¡¼)(w¦¼)w Her goal was to create
a place where people could enjoy the finer things in life--like
gourmet coffee and good music. It looks like she has succeeded.
