With its subtle
Central American theme, Maya Rize Cafe is yet another large, attractive
cafe restaurant, this time located near the corner of Chungteh and
Hankou roads, just around the corner from the Chungteh Carrefour
hypermarket. Already, the cafe seems to be doing a good job of filling
its bright, spacious interior, with seats on a first-floor and balcony-mezzanine
area. There are the usual hot and cold coffees and teas (averaging
NT$120-NT$150), including Italian-style coffees and herbal, flower
and milk teas. There is also plenty to eat, including Chinese and
Western snack--from 'hairy' beans (mao dou) to peanut butter toast--and
full meals. There are four types of hot pots (NT$200), soups,
10 rice dishes--beef stew, curry chicken or beef, chicken leg and
so on (NT$180-NT$220), and six types of noodles for about NT$160.
NT$235 set meals, including Jiangsu chicken leg rice and beef stew
rice, including soup, drink and dessert. The cafe has a small adjacent
parking lot.
