This pleasant, cozy cafe
has unusual origins, being an offshoot of the Biz House English language
school and Providence University off-campus Mandarin study program,
both offering daily classes in spacious facilities located in the
same building. South African manager Matt Leve said that the
cafe provides a nice place for Taiwanese and foreign students and
teachers, as well as other customers, to hang out. The excellent
hot and cold coffees, made with Italian Lavazza beans, mostly cost
under NT$100 and include flavored lattes, mocha, macchiato and con
panna. There are also hot and cold regular and fruit teas.
Equally reasonably-priced food includes sandwiches--vegetarian, chicken,
beef and tuna, salads (including Italian and Greek), a tasty variety
of muffins (cinnamon, chocolate, etc.), and cakes. With its
attractive dark wood-accented interior and arbor-shaded back outdoor
deck, magazines and small bar, this is a nice quiet place to hang
out.Cosmo is located along a quiet alley not far from the Tatun
Road Carrefour, half-way between La Terrasse restaurant and Sugar
Spice bakery cafe. |
