If I'm asked to rank the elegancy of Taichung's cafes, 'Snow and Sun' is definitely second to none. Its special disposition appears in its famous 'Three Noes'. One: No smoking. Two: No children under the age of 12. Three: No easy way to find the place. Those who intend to take pictures of its interior are only allowed to shoot before 10am due to numerous requests. 'Delicacy and quietude' is their prime rule. Fire-glazed vases filled with fresh scarlet roses lead the way to your seat, which glimmers a warm, exquisite welcome. You're urged to try out their maze. See if you could head to the correct wall and push the correct door into the restroom. Most of all, NEVER shout, or even utter a sound for service. Once you press the switch under your table, the waitress, who waits upon your command behind the kitchen door, will come to you in a second. All snacks and desserts offered are vegetarian and without eggs. The cream pineapple tart(NT$50) is highly recommended. Quick lunches are only NT$180(served Mon to Fri only).
