This
spacious, very pleasant-feeling cafe is part of a European chain
and located just behind Chung Yo Department Store, within easy sight
of Wuchuan Road. The building has distinctive curling staircases
(although the upstairs area is unused), with large planters all
around, big wrought-iron doors, ceiling-to-floor windows and very
high ceilings. The menu is very simple, with NT$90 espressos and
hot and cold latte, cappunccino and other varieties for NT$120 to
NT$140, plus some herb teas, Perrier (NT$90), hot/cold cocoa (NT$100)
and various NT$60 desserts. For eating, there is a sandwich option
and daily simple meals--chicken leg, pork chop, Japanese noodles--for
NT$180. The cafe has Chinese and a few English magazines and is
also home to a large Taipei Florist outlet.
