VISITOR RATINGS & REVIEWS
Beyond a doubt one of the most striking
and original-looking establishments in the city, Cafe Dome is exactly
that - -a large, two-floor-high glass ball. This transparent dome
has seating for about 90 on two levels and serves the usual variety
of coffees (NT$100-130), teas, juices, snacks and meals. In addition
to a couple basic sandwiches and soups, there are spaghetti dishes
(including soup) for about NT$180 and heavier, main-course meals
such as steaks for NT$250 to NT$350, which all include bread, soup
and tea. Food is served until 2 a.m. and drinks can be ordered to
3 a.m. The menu is only in Chinese but waiters can probably help
foreigners out. At night the lit-up dome, with manicured lawns and
parking lot outside, looks especially swanky. For those looking
for some entertainment, there is a new, similarly neat-looking Top
Billiards pool hall (tel. 472-5829) just next door and open 24 hours
a day.
