This well-known British banking institution has become the eighth foreign bank to set up shop in Taichung. The large, three-floor branch focusing on consumer banking services, including personal accounts, financial planning and credit cards. With over 150 years of experience in Asia, which accounts for 70 percent of its current business, Standard Chartered is focused on the region and aims to make Taiwan one of its top five global markets. The Taichung branch is ideally-located on Wenhsin Road, between Taichung City Police Headquarters (Foreign Affairs Police) and Taichung Harbor Road.
