Noah's Ark recently celebrated its first year in business but has only recently opened in Taichung. It is somewhat unique by virtue of its available dedicated playing space, with most of the store comprised of long tables ready for whatever games visitors feel like playing. Shelves are stacked with modern tabletop games like Catan, Carcassone and other familiar titles, including many that are on the simpler side in order to attract families and new gamers to the hobby. However, there are plenty titles to intrigue more experienced players, too.
A chief focus is trading card games. Behind the counter are packs upon packs of cards for Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh and other popular titles. In order to encourage players to not only to buy here but also to stay and play, Noah's Ark runs regular tournaments and competitions.
