Half x Half bills itself as a "design gallery" rather than a store, giving visitors an inkling of the eclectic range of goods displayed inside. The small shopping area's minimalistic design maximises the space, which is crammed with everything from mirrors and paintings to dolls and kitchen accessories. The one thread linking all these items is beautiful, unique designs. Information cards for each product provide details about the designers, who are mostly local but also include international names. Given the nature of the store, it's no surprise that some of the products are on the expensive side, although there are some great bargains to be found as well. This is the perfect place to have a look if you're after a gift for someone special or something unique to brighten up your home. Besides the retail area, there is dedicated second-floor space for people to spend time working on their own designs and display finished works. This lends a Bohemian, creative atmosphere to this business.
