Artqpie Library is a non-traditional bookstore started by Argi, who was a graduate student five years ago. When he discovered that there weren't many books about design in circulation, he borrowed an old house and used it to display books borrowed from the school library for people to come and browse through.
Today, this space no longer displays borrowed books and instead sells "Zines"--collections, magazines or self-published artist portfolios. The free-style Zines report on art, culture, design-related subjects and local topics of interest, and are great for generating reflections about personal life. Local issues of Zines, also very popular in Japan and New Zealand, and also can be found here.

Medium: The spacious interior design is ideal for meetings or discussions.
Right: Postcards, cards (NT$30-350) and
notebooks (NT$60-150)

Left: Various Zines (NT$100-550) on display, available for
browsing or for sale.
Right: Fragrant candles with designs
(NT$400-1,280)
