"Good morning!" This friendly greeting is heard every morning you visit the National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) farmers' market, which has operated for eight years. This market attracts loyal customers who visit weekly for the organic products, sold by vendors who have all received government certification that their fresh produce--shipped here directly from the farm--is free of pesticides. Free food and drink samples are regularly provided, too. Many regular shoppers have become good friends with the farmer vendors at this market, which also host charity events that sell second-hand clothing or collect shopping receipts to donate to good causes.
