Football--better known as soccer to North Americans--is starting to take off in Taiwan and this new store focuses completely on the sport. Opened by local football accessories company Chiggia, the spacious, high-ceilinged store is ideally located directly opposite Taichung's ChaoMa football fields. Besides Chiggia-brand products, there are plenty of adult and children's soccer shoes, balls, uniforms, bags, gloves, shin guards and other equipment made by Nike, Adidas, Puma and Umbro. The back third of the store is occupied by tables and chairs, where visitors can sit, enjoy a coffee and watch live international games from four satellite football channels (like Goal TV), projected onto a big wall. Other attractions include foosball tables (moved outside on holidays) and plans to organize 3-on-3 games in the large space in front of the store.
